Navigation Menus

Horizontal Menus

To change the links in the navigation menus, click the 'Variables' button from the Yahoo! store editor buttons. Find the appropriate property according to which menu you want to change (see below). The links in the menu are listed by ID with a single space between each ID. To remove a link, delete the ID of the desire page from the property. To add a link, type the ID of the page you want to add. Note that links will appear in the exact order that you enter the IDs.

  • Top-nav-ids - Blue menu directly below logo.
  • Bottom-nav-ids - Two rows of links in the footer.


Left Navigation



Headings

To create a new heading, click the 'contents' button from the Yahoo! store editor buttons. Click the 'new' button. Choose a name and ID, use type '.item' and continue. Enter the name you want to appear in the left navigation into the 'name' property. Delete everything from the 'template' property. Click the 'New Property' button at the top or bottom of the page. Click the 'Update' button.

Navigate to the home page in the store editor. Click the 'edit' button from the Yahoo! store editor buttons. Find the 'contents' property. The headings in the menu are listed by ID with a single space between each ID. To add the heading to the left nav, type the ID of the page you want to add. To remove a heading, delete the ID of the desire page from the property. Note that headings will appear in the exact order that you enter the IDs.

Links

Links are associated with the heading they appear under. You must go to the correct heading page to edit the links underneath it. Click the 'contents' button from the Yahoo! store editor buttons and find the heading page you're looking for (or use the Find button). Click 'edit' and find the 'contents' property. The links in the menu are listed by ID with a single space between each ID. To remove a link, delete the ID of the desire page from the property. To add a link, type the ID of the page you want to add. Note that links will appear in the exact order that you enter the IDs.

Home Page

To make changes to the information displayed on the home page, navigate to that page and click 'edit' from the Yahoo! store editor buttons.

Activewear Brands

This is controlled by the IDs listed in the 'Specials' property. Alternatively, you can also navigate to individual product pages and click the 'Special' or 'Unspecial' button to add or remove the product from this area. If you would like to change the heading text for this area, go to 'Variables' and change the text in the 'Specials-title' property.

Activewear Styles

This is controlled by the IDs listed in the 'Specials2' property. If you would like to change the heading text for this area, change the text in the 'Specials-title2' property.

Content

To change the content below the Activewear Brands and Styles, use the 'Message' property.

Overall Design

These properties to change the overall design can be found in the 'Variables' section.

  • Name-image: Logo image
  • Shipping-image: World Wide Shipping image to the right of the logo in the header
  • Header-phone-number: Phone number and hours image in the header
  • Tagline-content: Slogan at the bottom of the header
  • Html-above-left-nav: PayPal badge and payment methods above left navigation menu
  • Footer-badges: Badges on the left side of footer
  • Footer-newsletter: Code for the Constant Contact newsletter form in the footer
  • Footer-social: Facebook link and AddThis widget in the footer
  • Copyright: Copyright text below the footer navigation


Special Features

Multiple Images

When editing the image pages, use the 'inset' property to upload your first inset image. You will have to create a new property on each item page for every inset past the first that you want to add. Do this by clicking the 'New Property' button, name the field (i.e. inset2, inset3, inset4, etc.) and select type 'image'. You can go up to 'inset9'.
